Trust the CERN Grid Certification Authority
Trusting the CERN Grid Certification Authority is necessary to allow applications to recognize the certificates
issued by the Certification Authority.
To trust the CERN Grid Certification Authority, you need to install the certificates of the
CERN Root Certification Authority 2 and CERN Grid Certification Authority
Certification Authorities in your operating system's or application certificate store.
Specific installation instructions
Specific installation instructions are available for the following systems or applications:
- Windows: install the certificates in the Windows Certificate Store.
Most windows applications will then recognize CERN certificates.
Internet Explorer and Chrome also use the Windows certificate store.
- Firefox: install the certificates in Firefox's Certificate Store.
Firefox will then be able to recognize CERN certificates.
- Opera: install the certificates in Opera's Certificate Store.
Opera will then be able to recognize CERN certificates.
- Chrome (on non-Windows systems): install the certificates in Chrome's Certificate Store.
Chrome will then be able to recognize CERN certificates.
- Safari (on Mac OS): install the certificates in Mac OS's keychain.
Mac applications will then be able to recognize CERN certificates.
